About Us
Our history
Bay Area Empathy Center began as fellowship through empathy with friends, family, and strangers in San Francisco, CA over 15 years ago.
It was founded by Minister Melanie Stampley and incorporated as a non-profit entity in the State of California in January 2021, although Minister Stampley has been ordained since 2010.
The congregation initially met virtually & remotely via Google Meets, Zoom, and Facetime calls during the Pandemic since 2020.
Looking ahead and wishing to accommodate future growth, in 2021 a opportunity presented itself through https://thebaec.online.church/.
In the future, we pray to obtain a physical facility which would include high-tech audio and video capabilities, a full stage for drama productions, full-size gymnasium & multi-purpose auditorium, children's and youth rooms, a generous kitchen and a suite of offices and housing for those in need.
Throughout each transition, the Staff and congregation have remained faithful to their passion to put Christ first, stay true to the integrity of God's Word, grow in our spiritual gifts, and to love and help people here and abroad. We thank God for His many blessings and remain committed to fulfill all He has given us to do!
